My condolences. My name is Keith Williams from Pennsylvania, USA. I never met Master Montaigue but did some research on his discipline years ago. My friend recently suffered a stroke loosing the feeling in her right arm. I planned to write and inquire if he could recommend a possible treatment by someone in my area. I am sure that for every student he taught, there are thousands of people like me who knew of his work and skill. He will surely be missed by many.

Yes Odo Sensei's crane forms have an interesting background. Not quite as pure lineage as some of the others (like matayoshi), but still very nice.

I know the first one is shown online here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQ3hAzm1fgA. I don't believe anyone has uploaded Ni at this time.

I enjoyed the video and the stress you put on understanding the historical context. I had the good fortune to be shown a crane form by Odo sensei many years ago in Greensboro, NC. Without a support group to help me understand it (I was training primarily on my own), I let it slide out of my memory. I will always be disappointed that I did not give it more time and dig deeper. Thanks for sharing.
