Welcome to Ikigai, Blogging the Martial Way! This is a website created by Matthew Apsokardu. The point of this blog will be to offer a unique perspective on the martial arts.

We are all at a very interesting time in martial arts history right now. Different styles are polarizing away from each other, yet other styles are being created and brought together. It’s up to the masters and students of today to decide how things will proceed into the future. I intend to dive into the traditional way of training, my personal experiences as a martial artist, and the intriguing interactions of the martial arts world.

This blog will not serve as a personal diary. Instead, I intend to write legitimate articles interspersed with lighter, yet still informative, pieces.
