I am a sandan under Sensei Kuda. I lived in Okinawa many years (70’s) first as a US Army Medic then later working in business.
I am semi retired and run a cafe and artspace in Baguio City in the Philippines. All Shorinryu friends are welcome (I need a good workout).

Sensei Alexander has been an inovator all his life, teaching some of the finest karate people in the USA.
Now living in Tennesse he gives a new generation a chance to train in the old ways. If you want success study the history, or you will repeat the mistakes and be misled.
Sensei Alexander is a “hands-on” sensei a “rock-and-sock-him” practioner.
FYI Alexander has trained with the best and kept the friendship of the wisest. Your Interview should look deeper into the man and the choices he has made.
old karate has always been about “mixed” martial arts principle and survival…not the current bloodsport craze in entertainment gladiator contests.
Old warriors live because they don’t fight without good reason.

Foxy - Yea sometimes the traditional versus mixed argument seems to permeate everything. It’s important to remember that some folks on both sides see the value of both!
